Suddenly, three weeks ago The Arc of Madison Courtland emailed its Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) about a t-shirt contest that would be held. The shirts would be made locally and given to DCPs to show The Arc’s appreciation for our hard work amidst this pandemic. However, with only a week to make a submission and my schedule being very busy, I had to make do with some speedy design. In about an hour, I was able create this design and submit it. The quote came to me after thinking about how the people I work with are merely assisted so that they themselves can discover what they’re capable of. Since the quote was so fitting, I decided to try my hand at typographical quote art. If I was to do it again though, I would take more time to make it colorful and see if I could implement the Arc logo. However, it was no doubt a blast to see what my creative instincts could produce in a crunched time frame.
